Membership is open to any individual/organization interested in or associated with health information, health science libraries, or library-related functions within the state of Indiana. Dues of $20.00 are collected annually for the calendar year. Dues must be received prior to April 1st in order to vote for the slate of officers. Your cancelled check will serve as confirmation of payment.

The mission of the Indiana Health Sciences Librarians Association is to connect health information providers in Indiana in order to enhance service, networking and professional development.

Building upon a tradition of professional excellence IHSLA will strive to:

• provide value-added access to health information;
• promote improvement of community health education;
• provide on-going continuing education opportunities for members;
• provide a vehicle for affiliation/communication/collaboration with other professional organizations;
and, promote excellence in health sciences librarianship.

Meetings

An annual meeting in April provides the opportunity for professional development & networking, sharing & conviviality.

Affiliation

The membership of IHSLA is affiliated with the National Network of Libraries of Medicine/Greater Midwest Region, and the Indiana Hospital & Health Association.
